Operating management system for transshipment stations
and terminals in intermodal transport

Transshipment from the road to the rail

1.

With delivery the loading units are checked for traffic suitability.
Data is checked by the BLU operating management system at the drive-in counter.

2.
By means of the active BLU HMI software, the order is created by Drag & Drop.
BLU automatically generates storage space for the loading unit.

3.
The system automatically creates a crane job. This is sent to the cranes in the crane-way via Wi-Fi.

4.
The truck driver receives a delivery note with the assigned position in the loading lane.
Truck and crane immediately move to their positions.

5.
After acknowledgement of the crane job, BLU automatically sends the electronic loading confirmation to the railway transport company. The loading unit is transported on the rail to its destination terminal.

Guiding principle of BLU: No crane operation without a job order

Combined traffic on rails is only competitive when the different modes of transport in the transport chain cooperate fast, safely and economically.

In this way, the Terminal Management System BLU optimally supports all operative processes at large and small locations.

In addition to an improved control of the process organization, shorter crane paths and a reduction of the passage times for trucks are reached.

With this, the BLU terminal takes over all important functions in the process required for
road to rail or rail to road transfer.
